As a Latina and a Community Schools Coordinator, I deeply value equity, cultural pride, and the power of community. I believe every student deserves access to opportunities that reflect their full potential, regardless of their background. I invest in Student U because it uplifts students and families through holistic support and education, creating a space where they feel seen, valued, and empowered. My own journey fuels my passion to break barriers and build bridges so that our youth can thrive and lead.
Outside of Student U, I live out my values by staying connected to my roots and expressing myself through my passions. I love being Latina, and as a proud, family-oriented Latina, I spend as much time as I can with loved ones, honoring the traditions and strength that have shaped who I am. I bring joy and creativity to my community through my love for dancing and my work as a makeup artist, helping others feel confident and celebrated in their own skin. Whether I’m at a family gathering or creating beautiful looks, I’m always guided by love, culture, and the desire to uplift those around me.
One piece of advice that has been especially valuable in this work is: “Meet people where they are, not where you expect them to be.” This reminder helps me lead with empathy, patience, and understanding—recognizing that every student and family has their own journey, and true impact starts with listening, honoring their story, and walking alongside them with support and respect.
