As an alum of the Student U program, I know first-hand the tremendous value of this organization and its belief of all students succeeding. I invest in Student U because I want to give back to the community that has given me so much over more than half of my entire life at this point and to walk alongside our students in both their education and life journeys. Who better to walk along our students than those of us who have been on the journey that they will embark on.
When I am not in the Student U office you can bet i’m either traveling back home to Panama, spending lots of time with my family, or enjoying transforming and inspiring women of all ages through my side hustle Lola Beauty. I am the founder and lead makeup artists and love seeing women radiate after every makeover and being a special part of their special days such as weddings, quinceaneras, etc.
Always remember where you came from. Remembering where I come from, where I was and who I was years ago constantly grounds me in the work that I do every day. Never lose sight of that.
