One More Step Toward College: FAFSA Night 2026 Recap

For Student U seniors, the road to college brings big decisions, exciting possibilities, and plenty of paperwork. On October 1, our students and families came together for FAFSA Night to tackle one of the most important steps in that journey: applying for financial aid.

Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, can open the door to grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities, and other financial aid that can make college more affordable. But the process can also bring a lot of questions.

That’s why nights like this matter.

Student U families had the chance to work through the FAFSA process with support right there. Volunteers gave their time and expertise to answer questions, help families navigate the application, and make a complicated process feel a little more manageable.

For our seniors, FAFSA Night was about more than completing a form. It was another important step toward turning years of hard work, preparation, and big goals into what comes next.

And they didn’t have to take that step alone.

Thank you to every volunteer who showed up for our students and families. Your time and knowledge helped remove another barrier on the path to college and reminded our seniors that a whole community is cheering them on.

College, here they come. 🎓
