I value love and trust. They are truly at the foundation of who I am and how I move about this world. Investing in Student U is a manifestation of my values in my everyday life. Student U is committed to loving and developing trust with our students, families and Durham community in pursuit of a more equitable city, state, and world.
Outside of Student U, I am spending a lot of time with individuals whom I love dearly. That includes my family, friends, and the middle school cheerleaders that I coach. I love working with those ladies as they are becoming young women.
The urgency of the work doesn’t mean that patience isn’t important. It’s a simple reminder that even in the midst of doing urgent work that sometimes you have to be patient to see the fruit of your labor.
