Walking alongside students and parents throughout life’s many transitions

Last week we had the privilege of breaking bread and being with our students and families as they prepared for the next chapters of their educational journeys. We are honored to walk alongside students and parents throughout life’s many transitions. During these times that stir up a range of emotions from excitement to anxiety, we gather together to support one another and build trust while also preparing for what is to come. Here are a few highlights: Welcoming soon-to-be Middle Schoolers: We welcomed the Class of 2026 to Student U and The W.G. Pearson Center! This dinner was the first introduction to the Student U family. Students and families met staff, learned more about our full pipeline of programming, and officially accepted their position in Student U, thus beginning their 11-year journey with us! Welcome Class of 2026 Bonding with soon-to-be High Schoolers: Our 8th graders and their families ate dinner with the High School staff team, learned about programming and course selection, and bonded with Student U Advocates while hearing from current high schoolers about their experiences transitioning to High School. 8th Grade Transistion Dinner Learning with soon-to-be Summer Interns: Our 10th and 11th graders attended our annual internship fair where they networked with host sites, learned about job responsibilities, and developed their elevator pitches. Internship Fair Preparing with soon-to-be High School Graduates: Our seniors and their families gathered for dinner with our College Promise team to talk about the different pathways for post-secondary education as they prepare to make their decisions about the next phase of their educational career as graduates!
