EVERYONE is welcome to join us on Friday, July 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the W.G. Pearson Center (600 E. Umstead St., Durham 27701)! We’ll have games, activities, snacks, photo opportunities with Clifford the Big Red Dog and Dogman, and of course, lots of free books! Thanks to sponsorships from Durham’s Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and Durham 150, we will be especially focused on providing brand new diverse and inclusive books, like those on our Mirrors and Windows list, so that every child who attends can find books in which she recognizes herself and people like her and through which she can experience worlds quite different from her own.
