As a Community Schools Coordinator, I am primarily responsible for implementing programs and initiatives that meet the needs of students, families, and the school community. I am also responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with community members who want to help support the different needs of our students and families. I will also facilitate communication and collaboration between families, teachers, and community partners.

Krystle Lindsey, M. Ed

Student U Community School Coordinator | Clarke Elementary School

Krystle's Why:

I value people from all walks of life and love to serve people. As an educator, I believe everyone has an intrinsic right to quality education. I believe in the work that Student U is doing and invest in it because we all have a responsibility to advocate and champion for those who don’t have a voice and are often suppressed by the many isms especially in the education and career field. Education should be collaborative, inspiring, inclusive, and transformative.

Krystle outside of Student U:

Outside of Student U, you will find me doing something with my three girls. I love crafting, and I make custom shirts, tumblers, etc, on the side. I am also very involved in my church community and volunteer there most of the time.

Advice Krystle finds valuable:

One piece of advice you have found valuable while doing this work:  One piece of advice that I have found valuable in working with students and families is “be authentic and give yourself grace”. When working with students and families, they can tell when you are genuine and will respect you more when you admit a mistake.
