UNC APPLES Service Learning Program presented Student U with the Community Partner Excellence Award. Over the past six years, Student U has partnered with APPLES to identify wonderful UNC-CH students to teach our middle schoolers. These 20 Student U teachers have been some of our strongest and most respected staff members. APPLES teachers have included many individuals who have then taking leadership roles within Student U, including Ms. Z, Ms. Radhika, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Rumin and Ms. April.

Student U has benefited tremendously from its partnership with APPLES and APPLES students have been transformed as a result of their work at Student U. Like all good partnerships, this collaboration has been beneficial for both organizations and for the world as a whole. We are honored to have received the Community Partner Excellence Award.
