STUDENT U MISSION REVEAL: Same Dream. New Mission.

Over the past year, Student U has taken a hard look at the thirteen years of work we have done alongside our students and families. We have achieved a lot of success and gained much knowledge about what is needed to create a Durham where all students are succeeding. Through this process, we have identified new barriers that prevent our students from reaching their full potential and, in response, are expanding our approach. We have developed strategic priorities, pilots, and an updated mission statement that will guide us towards this vision for our community. On the evening of January 30, we are excited to share all of that with you as we reveal our new mission and discuss the future of our work.

At this time, we are excited to share that Mayor Schewel and Superintendent Dr. Mubenga will be with us that evening to talk about the impact Student U has had and will continue to have with this future work on Durham and Durham Public Schools, respectively.  We eagerly look forward to that evening, and again, hope you'll be there with us to hear and see it all firsthand.
