Radhika's primary responsibility is to evaluate the work we do at Student U to make sure we are on the path to achieving our goals as an organization.
Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” I invest in Student U because I believe that all people are innately brilliant and have the desire and ability to succeed. In order for each person in our community to become their best selves, everyone around them must have the opportunity and resources to pursue that as well.
Radhika outside of Student U:
Outside of work, you can usually find me hanging out with my family: Ian, Everest, and Iris. We enjoy traveling and photography and are often dreaming up our next out-of-town adventure. On the bucket list: the Galapagos, Marrakesh, and Provence!
Advice Radhika finds valuable:
“I’ve come to a frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It’s my personal approach that creates the climate. It’s my daily mood that makes the weather. As a teacher, I possess a tremendous power to make a child’s life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated and a child humanized or dehumanized.” ― Haim Ginott
