Karla's primary responsibility is working alongside all Student U departments with family communication and administrative tasks as well as operations.

Karla's Why:
El progreso de cada individuo se puede definir a través de la familia y el apoyo, gran parte eso sirve como motivación y crecimiento que se envuelve en la educación. Yo creo que la educación es el mejor recurso para el éxito. Student U abre las puertas y da esa guía para que los estudiantes puedan sobresalir académicamente y para que los estudiantes puedan rendir su máxima capacidad.

The progress of each individual can be defined through family and support, much of that serves as motivation and growth that is involved in education. I believe that education is the best resource for success. Student U opens the doors and gives that guide so that students can excel academically and so students can reach their full potential.

Karla outside of Student U:
Yo estoy envuelta en la comunidad, concentrándome en la comunidad Latinx. Esto me conecta más con mis raíces y me da la oportunidad de servir a las necesidades que la comunidad necesita.  Soy mamá de tres, así que mi vida es muy activa, nos gusta pasear, comer  y hacer cosas nuevas. Yo soy de Puerto Rico y mi esposo es de El Salvador así que nuestra casa es rica culturalmente.

I am involved in the community, focusing on the Latinx community. This connects me more with my roots and gives me the opportunity to serve the needs of the community. I am a mother of three, so my life is very active, we like to walk, eat and do new things. I am from Puerto Rico and my husband is from El Salvador so our house is culturally rich.

Advice Karla finds valuable:
Believe in yourself, you have the power to achieve everything you set your mind to.
