Daniela's primary responsibility is the daily operations of The W.G. Pearson Learning Center. That includes managing a team of eight to twelve Pod Leaders and serving as the liaison to volunteers and families. My greatest goal is to assist Pod Leaders in creating a safe, welcoming and supportive learning environment for all the children at the learning center.
I’ve been passionate about redemptive justice and dignity for all people since I was a child. As a first-generation student, I was aware of systemic inequities before I could even name them as such. Student U exercises advocacy, community-wide collaboration, and access to education and opportunities in a way that empowers the next generation of leaders. This is a pursuit of dignity for all people. This is redemptive justice in action.
Daniela outside of Student U:
Although it looks quite different now, I love gathering people for bonfires, murder mystery dinners, or informal opportunities to learn from others’ lived experiences. I’m most competitive during March Madness (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) and am most at peace on Bear Lake in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Advice Daniela finds valuable:
